How does AI billing work?
Lumi comes with any paid plan: 500 credits per seat each month, one allowance per person. Credits are metered per token, so a short answer costs a fraction of what a multi-step run does, and the run inspector shows exactly what each run spent. If you'd rather not use credits at all, you can connect your own OpenAI or Anthropic key in settings and pay that provider directly. The Free plan does not include AI.
Do AI teammates count toward my seat count?
No. Lumi is a member of your workspace but never a billed seat. Adding AI to your team doesn't change your invoice.
What can Lumi actually do today?
@mention it in a channel and it answers in a thread, using that channel's messages and the database or page bound to it. Every run is inspectable step by step, costed, and cancellable. It doesn't yet reach outside your workspace or run on a schedule — that's what we're building next.
Is the Free plan really free?
Yes — completely. The Free plan is a fully functional workspace for one person: chat, docs, tasks, databases, and boards. Not a trial, no time limit, no credit card. Lumi is the one thing it doesn't include — AI comes with any paid plan. It's how you try LumifyHub before bringing your team in.
Can I stay on Free forever?
Yes. The Free plan isn't a trial — it's a real workspace, and it's solo-only. Use it as long as you want. You only pay when you invite your team.
What happens when I invite my first teammate?
You'll be prompted to upgrade to Teams ($10/user/mo, or $7/user/mo billed yearly). The Free plan is solo-only — to add anyone else, you'll need to upgrade. Everything you've built comes with you, exactly as-is. We never delete your work without warning.
Why $10/user/month for teams?
One price for the whole workspace — chat, docs, tasks, databases, boards, and Lumi in every channel. No per-feature gates, no AI add-on, no surprise charges. You only hit it once you're collaborating with other people.
What happens when I upgrade Free → Teams?
You unlock invites — bring everyone you work with in. Storage caps lift (10GB per member). You get guest access, admin controls, role management, and priority support.
Is my data secure?
Yes. AES-256 encryption at rest. TLS 1.3 in transit. Same crypto standards as your bank's online portal.
Can I export my data?
Yes, always. Export any page, database, or your entire workspace to Markdown, JSON, or plain text whenever you want. Your data is yours — no lock-in, ever.
How do I migrate from Notion or Slack?
We have built-in importers for Notion and Markdown-based tools. Slack message import is on the roadmap. Pages, databases, and structure are preserved.
How am I charged when I add someone mid-month?
You're charged a prorated amount for the rest of the current billing period, then the full seat price from the next one. Remove a member and the credit is applied to your next invoice. You're only ever billed for human members — agents don't count.
What payment methods do you accept?
All major credit and debit cards, processed by Stripe. Your card details go straight to Stripe — we never see or store them.
What happens if my payment fails?
Stripe retries the charge over the following days. Your workspace and everything in it stays accessible the whole time — nothing is locked or deleted. Lumi pauses until the payment clears, since AI runs on paid status. Update your card in Billing settings and the next retry sorts it out.
How do I cancel?
One button in Billing settings, no email required and no cancellation call. You keep Teams features until the end of the period you've already paid for, then the workspace drops back to Free. Your data stays put — export it anytime.
