Lumi — your AI teammate inside LumifyHub
Lumi is a member of your LumifyHub workspace, not a sidebar. @mention it in a channel and it replies in a thread using your docs, databases, and chat history — with a step-by-step record of everything it did.
Lumi is the built-in AI teammate in your LumifyHub workspace. It appears in the member list and in @mention autocomplete like a person, works from the same docs, databases, boards, and channels your team does, and never takes a billed seat. Lumi comes with any paid plan — see Turning AI on.
@mention Lumi in a channel
Type @Lumi in any channel, ask your question, and hit Enter. Lumi replies in a
thread on your message, so the answer lives next to the question and the rest
of the team can read it.
What Lumi can see when you mention it:
- Recent messages in that channel
- The thread you're in
- The database or page that channel is bound to
That's why you don't have to paste context in — the workspace is the context.
Read the run
Every mention creates a run. Open it to see:
- Each step Lumi took, in order
- What it read and what it changed
- What the run cost
- A Cancel button while it's still going
Nothing Lumi does is invisible. Every change it makes is attributed to it, and every run is on the record.
Quick text actions in pages
Select any text in a page and use the AI actions to:
- Improve — make your writing clearer and more polished
- Fix grammar — catch typos and errors
- Make shorter / Make longer — tighten or expand
- Translate — Spanish, French, Chinese, and 20+ other languages
- Summarize — pull out the key points
Changes appear inline. Accept what you like, reject what you don't.
Turning AI on
Lumi comes with any paid plan and works out of the box — there's nothing to connect. Your workspace gets 500 AI credits per seat each month, pooled across the team, and every mention draws on that balance.
The Free plan does not include AI. Free is solo-only, and Lumi and the AI writing actions are off there — including trial credits. To turn AI on, move the workspace to Teams ($10/user/month, or $7/user/month billed yearly).
If you'd rather bill inference to your own provider account, you can connect an OpenAI or Anthropic key under Account Settings → AI Assistant → Advanced. Credits aren't spent while your own key is in use. See AI Credits for the full picture.
What Lumi can't do yet
Being honest about the edges:
- It only acts when asked — no schedules, no unprompted work
- It can't reach systems outside your workspace (GitHub, email, and similar)
- It can't be assigned a card or database row
- There's one Lumi per workspace; custom agents with their own instructions and tool access are coming
Billing
Lumi never counts as a billed seat — adding AI to your workspace doesn't change your invoice. Only the people you invite do.
AI is included with Teams at $10/user/mo ($7/user/mo billed yearly), which carries 500 credits per seat per month. Credits are metered per token, so a one-line answer costs a fraction of a credit and a multi-step run costs more. If the pool runs dry, the workspace owner can top up; there's no overage billing.
See AI Credits for balances, top-ups, and using your own key, or Pricing for plan details.
