Have a Conversation
Click the sparkles button in the corner to chat with Lumi.
Ask it things like:
- "Write a project update based on these notes"
- "Help me brainstorm ideas for..."
- "Summarize this page"
- "What do we have about [topic]?"
Lumi can see your current page, so reference it directly.
@mention Lumi in a channel
Lumi is also a member of your workspace. Type @Lumi in any channel and it
replies in a thread on your message, using that channel's history and whatever
database or page the channel is bound to — so the whole team sees the answer.
Every mention creates a run you can open, read step by step, and cancel while it's still going. See Lumi, your AI teammate for the full reference.
Tips
Be specific - "Make this more concise and friendly" works better than "make this better."
Use context - "Expand the second paragraph" or "Summarize the section above."
Iterate - Ask follow-up questions to refine the results.
Turning it on
Lumi comes with any paid plan and needs no setup. Your workspace gets 500 AI credits per seat each month, shared across the team, and everything on this page draws on that balance.
The Free plan has no AI at all — it's solo-only, and Lumi and the writing actions are off there. Move the workspace to Teams ($10/user/month, or $7/user/month billed yearly) to turn them on.
Prefer to use your own provider account? You can connect an OpenAI or Anthropic key under Account Settings → AI Assistant → Advanced and your credits stay untouched. Either way, Lumi is a member of your workspace but never a billed seat. Details: AI Credits.
